Corporate

Spectrum First Professional is a new arm of Spectrum First and has been created to support the development of both capable, enterprising individuals and employers that wish to promote truly inclusive practices. We want all professionals to excel in their workplace, for all neurotypes to be celebrated and for workplaces to thrive as a result.

The support provided may be through autism or ADHD-specialist workplace coaching, career and enterprise development mentoring, job-seeking support, or workplace assessment. Or it may be through our innovative support packages tailored to autistic and ADHD graduates and start-up programs for neurodivergent business owners.

Additionally, we offer ongoing CPD accredited opportunities to support each organisation in developing an enhanced understanding of autism and ADHD, as well as training courses to help the wider company in their acceptance and understanding of neurodiversity and their neurodivergent colleagues.

In keeping with the ethos of Spectrum First, some funds generated from each corporate package are used to “pay it forward” to those newly entering the workforce or considering starting their own enterprises.

Professional services:

Enterprise Development Mentoring – for those in senior management positions

This service is designed around career and enterprise development, and is primarily for autistic or ADHD people working within senior management roles, however this may be adapted to provide mentoring for those in positions managing neurodiverse staff to help better understand, support and utilise their diverse team members’ skills.

Workplace Performance Coaching – for autistic/ADHD employees

Workplace coaching is an entirely inclusive new programme that has been created by and for neurodiverse employees. This takes the form of 10 sessions that are designed to help you to:

  • Understand your own role as a neurodiverse employee within a company
  • Succeed and thrive in your work environment
  • Understand your neurodiversity and feel comfortable and supported by your employer, including identifying and implementing reasonable adjustments
  • Develop a personal toolkit of strategies based on neurodiversity and coaching theory to support you in your role and to mitigate any stressors

Additional Support for Organisations

Workplace assessment

Everybody is more productive when they are comfortable within their work environment and with the people around them; autistic people are no different. A workplace assessment helps you to identify barriers in the environment that could hinder autistic/ADHD staff and adjustments that can be made to help your employees reach their full potential, as well as giving you supportive management techniques and effective ways to communicate.

Management consultation for supporting autistic staff members

  • One to one support from one manager of neurodiverse employees to another, including effective communication
  • Managing the needs of neurodiverse staff
  • How to recognise when employees might be struggling
  • How to build relationships with neurodiverse employees

Tailored corporate courses on autism in the workplace

Each course is adapted to the workplace environment of the staff we are delivering the training to. As such, the course is more relatable and can also incorporate the views and values of any neurodiverse staff within the team. This course will support employers and staff to go beyond knowing what reasonable adjustments are to an enhanced understanding of why these are necessary and the ways in which they support autistic people in a workplace.
